Privacy Policy
CodeScribe EMS is built to keep your data on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means.
What we collect
Nothing. CodeScribe EMS does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, usage data or analytics of any kind. There is no account, no login, and no network connection required to use the app.
Where your records live
Every cardiac arrest record you create, including timestamps, logged interventions, notes and any details you enter, is stored only on your device using Apple's on-device storage. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Deleting a record from the app, or deleting the app, permanently removes that data.
Patient information
CodeScribe EMS is designed to be used without patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers or any other identifying information. The app never asks for these and has no fields meant to hold them.
Third parties
CodeScribe EMS uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind. We don't know how many people use the app, what they tap, or how long a session lasts. That data doesn't exist anywhere but on your phone.
Sharing records you create
If you copy a narrative or export a PDF, you start that action yourself through Apple's standard share sheet, and the file goes only where you send it (for example AirDrop, email or your ePCR software).
Shared button setups
If your department shares its button and timer setup with you by file or join code, that setup contains configuration only: button names, timers and option lists. It contains no records and no personal information.
Children's privacy
CodeScribe EMS is a professional tool for trained emergency responders and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
